I know about the family - unless something occurs to me. Alexander Family
This would be from my mother (Elsie) mother's family.
George Alexander (my mother's grandfather on her mother's side) married Mary Nesbit in Scotland four daughters all born there. There may have been sons who died at birth or early age. Lived in Montreal for a few years, also in Toronto, Winnipeg and then retired to Vancouver.
Mary Helen Alexander born in 1889 married Thomas Leslie Allan in 1909 and died in Toronto January 24, 1923. They lived in Montreal and then transferred to Toronto about 1917 or 1918. Three daughters born in Montreal and one son born in Toronto: Mary Nesbit, Elspeth Turner, Alice Georgina and Thomas Leslie. (bios given under Allan Family History).
Mae Alexander - married Louis Irvine and lived mostly in New Jersey. One son, Arnold who married Helen and had three children. Divorced and Arnold remarried to Wanda and lived in Coopersburg, Pa. (Aunt Mae was the only one I can remember meeting. She offered to take me to the States and put me through University there, but I foolishly maybe, didn,t want to leave the family and said no.)
Nettie Alexander married Harry Jenkins and lived in Montreal, then Winnipeg. Retired To Vancouver and then to Los Angeles. Two daughters, Mary and Evelyn. Mary never married retired to Las Vegas. Evelyn married James Baddon in Winnipeg, moved to Vancouver, then Los Angeles and lived with Mary in Las Vegas. Evelyn had three children and quite a few grandchildren, living in Los Angeles.
Ina Alexander married George Lunn and lived in Vancouver. Two children, George and Norma. George A. Lunn married Billy and had a family. Moved to Bothe, Washington. Norma married, had a family and lived in Vancouver. Husband died. |
